Military-Connected Youth and Families

Welcome New Transfer Students!

We are happy to have you join us and become a part of the Pirate community.  Our district goals include all students feeling a sense of connectedness academically, socially, emotionally, and physically in our schools.  We understand the challenges Military Connected Youth (MCY) face transitioning to new schools and communities.

Our Transition and Tutoring Lab provides a point of entry for all transfer students, particularly focusing on academic support for military connected students.  The Transition and Tutoring Lab works with our School Liaison and Counseling Team to provide social and emotional support to facilitate smoother transitions.  Together we strive to ensure we are responsive to the unique challenges and needs of military connected youth.

Wheatland Union High School is proud to offer a wide range of educational opportunities to meet the unique needs and goals of our students. We offer an extensive Career Technical Education (CTE) program with over ten industry pathways for students wishing to pursue a career right after high school. Additionally, we offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses, Dual Enrollment (DE), and Articulated courses to help students gain college credits while still in high school. We even have an Accelerated learning plan called Pirates At SEA, for those dedicated to earning an Associates degree while in high school! We also have an After School Program and stop by our Tutoring Lab and get some additional school help. Just a few of the many support services we have on campus!
